Mobile Optometry Clinics
One Source Mobile Healthcare, a leading provider of accessible and innovative healthcare services has introduced an eye-health initiative across the state of Arizona, with the aim of improving the visual well-being of students in our education system.
Vision plays a pivotal role in a student’s academic success and overall development. However, according to recent studies a significant number of children in Arizona are experiencing undiagnosed and untreated vision problems, leading to potential learning difficulties and reduced educational outcomes. We firmly believe that by addressing this issue
through a comprehensive eye-health initiative we can positively impact the lives of countless students across the state.
OneSource Mobile Healthcare has developed a comprehensive program that brings accessible eyecare services directly to schools. Our team of qualified Optometrists and eyecare professionals, equipped with state-of-the-art mobile eyecare units conduct comprehensive eye exams, vision screenings and provide necessary eyewear and prescriptions on site. By eliminating the barriers of transportation and cost, we ensure that all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have equal access to essential eyecare services.
The One Source Healthcare Quality of Care Commitment:
1. Increased awareness - We conduct informational sessions and workshops for parents, teachers, and school staff to raise awareness about the importance of regular eye exams and the potential impact of untreated vision problems on academic performance.
2. Comprehensive eye exams through our mobile units - We provide comprehensive exams for students at various grade levels. Our skilled optometrists assess visual acuity, screen for refractive errors, evaluate eye health and identify any potential vision disorders or conditions.
3. Prescription glasses provision - We ensure that students identified with vision problems receive the necessary prescription eyewear at no out-of-pocket cost to the student. Our partnerships with Medicaid, insurance providers and manufacturers allow us to provide quality glasses that reduce cost, making them affordable for families in need.
4. Referral services - in cases where additional eyecare is required beyond the scope of our on-site services, we collaborate with local eyecare specialists to ensure timely referrals and appropriate follow up care. By implementing this eye health initiative, we aim to enhance academic performance, self- esteem, and overall quality of life for students in Arizona. Our experience and our work alongside the Lion’s Club, has demonstrated significant improvements in students’ vision, leading to positive outcomes in their educational journeys.
